Nicholas Cincotti's Bio
Nicholas Cincotti presently works as a band director for Music Education Services, where he directs bands with various schools in Chicago. Prior to coming to Chicago, Nicholas taught general music, band and choir for five years in Southern and Central Illinois. His ensembles have received multiple accolades and has had many students selected to perform at the Illinois Music Education Association All-State Festival. Nicholas is a graduate of Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Illinois and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Southern Illinois University. He was very active in the University Bands program, including performing for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, a performance tour of Asia and an invitation to conduct the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra. He recently was featured as a saxophone soloist with the Illinois Valley Community College Wind Ensemble at the Illinois Music Education Conference. He performs with multiple community ensembles on saxophone and clarinet and has performed in pit orchestras for over twenty musicals. When he is not doing anything musical, Nicholas is an avid trivia and puzzle player.
