Mason Manint's Bio
Mr. Manint’s hometown is a small town just outside of Bloomington/Normal called Downs, Illinois. He received a Bachelor of Music Education and Jazz performance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His primary instrument is the trumpet. While in college, Mr. Manint was involved in the Marching Illini, Athletic Bands, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Men’s Music Fraternity. Some of the highlights of Mr. Manint’s performance career are having a featured solo in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC and traveling to Ireland with the Marching Illini. He has also performed with Grammy award winning artists such as Wayne Bergeron, Gordon Goodwin, and Andy Martin. Mr. Manint has also had the privilege of studying and performing along side Jim Pugh, Chip McNeill, Tito Carillo, Joel Spencer, Chip Stephens, Larry Gray, David Hoffman and Ron Bridgewater. This past year Mr. Manint was the Music Director at the High School of St. Thomas More in Champaign, Illinois. He moved to the suburbs after getting married this past summer and is excited to begin his first year teaching with Music Education Services in schools on the north side!
